Calm vet care in Larkfield

Vet visits your pet won't dread.

Burrow is a small clinic for cats and dogs where nobody rushes. Longer appointments, a quiet room just for cats, and a team that's happy to sit on the floor with a nervous dog.

  • Open 7 days
  • House calls
  • A room just for cats
Why pets don't mind us

From the waiting room to the follow-up call, everything is slower and quieter.

  • Snacks and lick mats make the exam something to look forward to.

  • A separate room and waiting shelf that never smells of dog.

  • Every appointment is 30 minutes, so there's time for your questions.

  • For pets who hate the car, and for owners who can't drive.

Low-stress handling

We let your pet set the pace.

Many pets fear the vet because the visit is fast, loud and slippery. We change the small things: non-slip mats, softer lights, exams on the floor or in your lap, and a break whenever one is needed.

  • Separate waiting areas for cats and dogs
  • Exams on the floor, in your lap or in the carrier
  • Calming scents and quiet music in every room
  • A calming plan before the visit for very anxious pets
How a visit works
Your visit

How a visit works

  1. Book

Send the form or call. We confirm a time by text or email, usually within two working hours.

  2. Arrive quietly

Text us from the car park. If your room is ready, you skip the waiting room.

  3. Take your time

Thirty minutes with the vet. Treats, breaks and questions are all part of it.

  4. Hear from us

A short written summary by email, and a check-in call after vaccines or surgery.

The team

Friendly faces, gentle hands.

Two vets and a head nurse, all trained in low-stress handling, plus the reception team who remember your pet's name.

Kind words

What owners tell us.

A few notes from the people who bring their pets to us. Point at a card to stop the row.

Biscuit used to shake in the car park. Now he pulls me through the door because he knows about the treats.
Laura M.with Biscuit, greyhound
The cat room changed everything. Miso didn't hiss once, which has never happened at any vet.
Hana K.with Miso, cat
Dr. Reyes sat on the floor with our old lab for ten minutes before he touched him. That's the whole difference.
Sam O.with Juno, labrador
The house call meant my mum's cat was seen without the carrier drama. Kind, quick, and clear about the cost.
Dev P.with Smudge, cat
We did the puppy package. Three visits later, Pip thinks the vet is a party.
Ana & Ruiwith Pip, cockapoo
They emailed a written summary after the visit, so I didn't have to remember everything they said.

FAQ

Questions owners ask us.

Can't find your answer? Call (555) 014-2771. A real person picks up.

My pet is very anxious. What can you do?

Tell us when you book. We can give you a quiet time of day, a calming plan to start at home, and a room that's ready the moment you arrive. Some pets do best with a house call.

Do you see pets other than cats and dogs?

We see rabbits and guinea pigs for check-ups and vaccines. For birds, reptiles and other exotic pets, we'll point you to a specialist nearby.

Can I stay with my pet during the exam?

Yes, almost always. Most pets are calmer with you there. For surgery and dental care you say goodbye at admission, and we call as soon as they wake up.

How do payments and plans work?

You pay after each visit by card or phone. Plans are a monthly payment that covers routine care for the year, and you can cancel any time.

What should I do in an emergency?

Call us straight away during opening hours. Outside them, our phone message gives the number of the nearest 24-hour emergency hospital. Please don't use the form for emergencies.

Where do you go for house calls?

Anywhere within about 5 miles of the clinic: Larkfield, Millbrook, Stoneharbour and the riverside streets. If you live further out, ask us.

Book a visit

Tell us who's coming in.

Send a request and we'll confirm a time by text or email, usually within two working hours. Nothing is booked until we confirm.
